![]() I loved being introduced to the F1 world and sport from this book. It was a good debut novel, I really like the writing style and I'm keen on reading the next books in the series (especially Sophie & Liam's book.Genres: Adult, Sports, Romance, Contemporary One thing I like about Lauren is that she always gives us bonus epilogues, those never fail to satisfy me. Noah was scared of love and he made some seriously questionable choices but when he cleaned up his act, he started to grow on me. Noah & Maya were crazy for each other but I didn't like the way Maya kept repeating how hot he is whenever Noah was in her proximity, that kinda dulled all his appeal to me. Overall, the book was engaging but not "The Fine Print" level of good. Like I get it that he was pressurized a lot by his father but his personality was only limited to his abusive father, uncaring selfish mother and racing. While Maya had goals, passions and a personality, it seemed that Noah was just there for the sake of being her love interest. I want to spend more time around her and suck up her happiness like the goddam black hole I am." "What a sick joke on me where I crave attention from the one girl I want but can’t have. He was the typical manho athlete with abandonment and commitment issues. The whole brother's rival trope was intriguing and while I liked Maya and her mature and clear thinking, Noah didn't appeal me that much. Maya Alatorre is the newly graduated sister of a talented race car driver Santiago who won a championship and is recently been offered a contract by the Bandini's- a team which his rival, the infamous Noah Slade works with. "I list off all the reasons Noah’s bad news in my head. Maybe the hype about this made me feel really excited and I went into it with a lot of expectations. While I liked the book and enjoyed reading it, it wasn't something I loved. It was definitely amusing to get into this world. This is the first time I read something about car racing. Can’t wait to get through the rest of the series. Lauren Asher once again coming through with an amazing read. Their bond I also loved Maya’s relationship with Santi, it was just so pure and the way that he protects her while she’s travelling around with him is so precious. This whole book was just perfect, the banter, fighting and tension between Maya and Noah was chefs kiss and the amount of love he had for Maya was so special. Noah’s growth amazed me, the way that he changed and became a better man not only for Maya but for himself. I loved how it was a slow burn but not too slow and we got to see the progression of their relationship. The way that this book made me squeal, laugh and cry, I could not get enough of it. This book has absolutely made me in love with F1 and I am so grateful that I read it. I could so vividly imagine everything so clearly and it felt as though I was there with them travelling and at the races. The whole aesthetics of the book was amazing, it didn’t feel as though I was reading at all.
